Overview:
The current environment use IDM based Portlet functionality that is integrated with their Microfocus (OT) IDM Implementation, where the Portlet(s) were used to validate and upload user data and perform DB changes (DSO Upload) and to decrypt content of some AES256 Encrypted files (SNET Upload)
As current version of IDM (NETIQ Version) does not support Portlets anymore, customer wanted to replace the solution that can be supported with NETIQ Version 4.7 & above. Customer wants to retain the existing UI navigation & Look and Feel (where applicable) to minimize user approval & training with a customised IDAM portal solution embedded in Microfocus IDM solutions.
Solution deployed
Develop separate external J2EE app and deploy the app within IDM which can include the following:
- Workflow based functionality (Instead of IDM Portlet) Retain UI look-and-feel as-is to minimize Training to end users.
- New Configuration/property (XML) files to meet the requirement
- Internal Servlet/APIs will be implemented
- Assess leveraging existing Servlets
